Returns Justice Is On its Way / Arrival Date Padding / Update w/ No Updates
Hello All
1️⃣ Historic! Amazon sent an email with a survey about enrolling into a program that ALL FBA returns get sent back to the seller. I closed the FBA justice petition and declared victory for Amazon AND sellers. Some suspended accounts received an email that they are reinstated, but in fact remain suspended. There is this new “Merchant Review team” that started showing up. SP was in a splendor mood this week reinstating many ASINS and accounts.
2️⃣ There is an ongoing issue with MF orders “Arrive dates” being excessively padded (up to 3 weeks) after delivery date even when handing date is the same day. Sales being dramatically affected. This is at the account level and unsure why only some accounts are affected. Amazon Leadership responded that it’s in response to delays in carriers (though unsure why only some sellers and why so excessive).

4️⃣ “We regularly confirm that organizations that hold Amazon Marketplace Web Service (Amazon MWS) or Selling Partner API Access Keys are properly using and protecting Amazon MWS/Selling Partner API data. As part of this effort, we have selected XXX for an audit related to its data security and compliance obligations, as authorized by the Amazon Marketplace Developer Agreement, Amazon MWS Data Protection Policy, and Amazon MWS Acceptable Use Policy. We have selected Deloitte & Touche LLP to perform this audit.”
5️⃣ There was a recent article regarding an arbitrator ruling against Amazon holding funds from 3P sellers unfairly. I started a petition for Amazon to cease such actions. Please read and if you agree, sign and share. I am being very reasonable and am quite flexible on this one.
6️⃣ This is old but becoming common. A bot (competitor) buys your inventory (ties up) for a few days so it cannot be sold. You can then be accused of sales rank misuse AND you lose sales for the time the inventory is tied up. No easy path when this happens and very unfair as it effectively gives your competitors the buy box.
7️⃣ Amazon sent an “important update” to its drop shipping policy – with seemingly nothing updated This is likely a wink at MUCH stronger enforcement for drop shippers to be expected.
8️⃣ “We cannot accept this invoice because we are unable to verify that the supplier sells items in new condition.” Try to get a letter from the supplier that they only sell new items.
9️⃣ This is real and new [email protected]. It’s called walk the store team and they are a bit sloppy and unclear with their emails (they are new so lets give them a chance)
🔟 “Why is this happening? You incorrectly selected the ‘Individual’ legal entity when you registered. We have explained the different legal entities below.”
