ASINS in Hazmat Review/ Paypal Accounts Being Limited/ Topical Approvals/ Withdrawn Claims on ODR

Hello All,

1. “This product has been identified as a strong magnet or strong magnet set that does not comply with Amazon policy. Amazon policy requires that all individual strong magnets (not the entire product package) must be too large to fit inside a cylinder that is 1.25 inches (31.75 mm) in diameter and 2.25 inches (57.15 mm) long.” This is newish.

2. “I noticed recently asins that are put under hazmat review cannot be sold using multi-channel fulfillment nor can you do removal orders. Now all the inventory is put in reserve and will be disposed of if nothing is done” (HT EF)

3. If you are looking to drive sales to a specific product, you can check out Dealwiki. Dealwiki.net is a large deal site, with over 1 million email subscribers. It can be useful in helping you rank Amazon products. They are offering special rates to ASGTG members. For rates & details fill out this form. (sponsored)

4. Quite a few PayPal accounts are being limited due to rather minor infractions. Limited is another way of saying suspended as they do not allow you to accept payments.

5. Amazon keeps changing the application requirements for Topicals and has made it much more difficult since the last post. Strange things are happening with Topical approvals.

6. Amazon reverted to not counting withdrawn claims on ODR. You should notice your ODR % should have reverted. Thank you to an ASGTG member for taking the lead on this and making sure Amazon fixes the issue.

7. This is NEW:

“We have been informed by Hertfordshire Trading Standards that this cosmetic product does not satisfy EU labeling requirements and/or does not provide a responsible person for its placement on the internal market. This product does not comply with Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009 on cosmetic products. “

8. “As you may have already seen, several manufacturers have begun placing an additional 2D barcode label on their products in order to keep better track of inventory and ensure authenticity. These new barcodes are applied by the manufacturer and typically appear on or near the bottom of the product’s packaging.  Beginning on December 20, 2017, we will require that the ASINs listed at the bottom of this email have a 2D barcode label from the manufacturer in order to be accepted at an Amazon fulfillment center.”

9. Now is not the best time to go on a product review hunting expedition or time to make radical changes to your selling habits (i.e. suddenly listing +50,000 items). Amazon is working on overdrive to find suspicious behavior on all fronts. It’s probably best to stick to your core business model that’s been working during the busy holiday season.

10. Vendor Central group is extremely necessary if you sell VC or V express. To get an invite link to this group, enter your email in this form.
