Items Misclassified As "Adult" / Section 3s On Sunday? / Review Abuse 72 Hours

Learn about growth opportunities and how Temu can boost your sales—RSVP Lunch Wednesday in Brooklyn.

  1. There were 100s reports of items misclassified as “adult” before prime day, likely black hat attacks on competitors. As always, Prime Day has mixed reviews, but some have reported record sales. Remember, it’s 4 days, so the spike will be spread over 4 days; New language when you click Apply To Sell; Amazon has wrongly flagged expired product violations, and the appeal process is unreasonably challenging.

  2. Temu has shown some impressive results if you want to expand to new marketplaces. I am hosting a free Networking/lunch in Brooklyn July 16th in a cool space with some of their senior leaders to discuss growth opportunities. Fill out this form to join (Lunch by Soho). You can sign up to sell regardless.

  3. NEW! Itemized Amazon AWD & Placement Fees ConnectBooks has an easy way for you to download the AWD and Placement Fee reports from Seller Central and upload them directly into ConnectBooks with just one click! These fees can be very high—and without seeing them per item, your profit numbers aren’t telling the full story.

Now, you can get precise profit per product, with every AWD and Placement Fee fully accounted for, closing a big gap in your P&L visibility. Schedule a demo to see how it works. (sponsored)

  4. It appears approval for brands is even harder than in the past. Furthermore, occasionally, a seller receives approval for a brand only to have it reversed within a few weeks or months. Please let me know if you see this.

  5. You can now get authentic product reviews before launch when you enroll eligible FBA products in the Vine program after creating listings.

  6. There was a bizarre batch of Section 3 notifications on Sunday. “Your Amazon selling account will be deactivated on 07/21/2025 in accordance with section 3 of the Business Solutions Agreement if you do not follow the procedure outlined below.” The virtual interview link did not work, and nothing on the account was affected. It may be related to some approvals with questionable documents.

  7. “-- You must remove your offer from the ASIN before acknowledging the violation as not to affect your Account Health Dashboard (AHD) score.”

  8. “As per our product bundling policy, consumable bundles must be a product configuration packaged by the original manufacturer or brand.”

  9. Keeps shifting “ The provided invoice cannot be accepted as it only shows XXX units. Submit an invoice showing a minimum of 200 units of XXXX products.”

  10. There are a few 72-hour suspension warnings for review abuse, I think mainly related to communication to sellers hinting to leave a positive review. Once you start appealing, they seem to extend the window.

Wishing You A Great Weekend, ED Rosenberg Voice of the Seller
